In response to current circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, we have implemented various new protocols and elevated practices, keeping with our high standards of cleanliness and luxury service.

Allow us to introduce you to some of the measures we have implemented and what to expect at our hotel regarding changes to amenities, services, and facilities.

A Safe Experience For Our Guests

HEALTH FIRST Certification received by Ministry of Tourism.

Most members of the staff have been vaccinated against COVID-19.

Twice per week, our non vaccinated associates apply rapid tests against COVID-19.

Thorough staff training on PPE use as required by local health guidelines and the Greek Government.

ECOLAB cleaning products applies to all of our departments.

AC filters and grills disinfected regularly.

All surfaces disinfected regularly.

Emphasis has given to frequent contact areas.

Upon Arrival

Signage in Lobby & Reception area to remind customers of social distancing.

Hand sanitizers easily recognizable and available throughout the hotel.

To minimize time spent in the lobby area, we have upgraded our systems to offer Online Check-In.

Room cards will be sanitized with a UV disinfection box and then placed directly on the counter to avoid physical contact.

Disinfection of common points of contact (elevator/buttons/knobs, etc.) at regular intervals.

Guest Rooms

Elevated and rigorous cleaning protocols have been put in place to clean all surfaces with appropriate disinfectants thoroughly.

Our housekeeping team trained to use steam cleaners & devices of UVC radiation.

All rooms & suites during the cleaning process and afterwards are constantly ventilating with fresh air.

The in-Room dining menu is available in the QR-code version for contactless use.

All paper amenities such as pens & papers, magazines etc., will be removed and available upon request.

Bed linen & towels will be handled with extreme care to avoid contamination. Used bedding and towels will be washed at a minimum of 70 ̊C.

Food & Beverage

All restaurant employees are wearing personal protection equipment.

HACCP kitchen protocols have further enhanced.

Reduced number and 1.5 m space between tables to maintain social distancing norms.

Reservations advised avoiding congestion.

Complete sanitation of all restaurant facilities, POS machines & equipment after each customer change.

Hand sanitisers & disinfectant wipes available.

Digital menus and single-use menus to comply with hygiene standards.

Kindly note that our SENSE Restaurant and bar will only be accepting vaccinated non hotel guests (vaccination certificate or immunisation history statement and id must be available to be displayed to our staff)

Also note that as of November 6th, for all unvaccinated guests who wish to visit the outdoor area of MODERN,  will be obliged to display a recent negative test.

Reservations Policy

We have amended our Flexible Cancellation Policy, offering our guests’ free cancellation up to 24 hours before their scheduled arrival.
